The Indiana Fever are still alive.
Indiana defeated the Las Vegas Aces 99-89 in a must win game on Tuesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, knitting their first-round WNBA playoff series at 1-1 and forcing a decisive Game 3.
After being blown out 102-85 in Game 1, the Fever responded with a dramatically different performance on their home floor.
Caitlin Clark led the way with 27 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds, while Kelsey Mitchell put in 26 points and Aaliyah Boston added 22 points to go along with 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
Jackie Young paced Las Vegas with 31 points, while A’ja Wilson , who was not as dominant or impactful, finished with a subdued 22 points in the loss.
After committing 17 turnovers that turned into 28 Las Vegas points and allowing the Aces to shoot a scorching 59% from the field, the Fever did a better job of securing the baaketball committing just 12 miscues that led to 17 points for their opponents. Additionally Indiana was able to hunker down defensively, limiting the Aces to just 42% from the field on the evening.
